The $2,000 registration fee includes training via Cisco Webex, use of our server for development practice, and a the book eZ Publish Basics. Registration is open now. The course is limited to eight participants. For more information contact us at 1 209 373 7444 or via email.

Media

This live online course will be offered in English via Granite Horizon's Cisco Webex training center and includes:

  • lab exercises using Granite Horizon's server, with the instructor able to look "over your shoulder" to give assistance via Webex's breakout sessions
  • reading from the book eZ Publish Basics
  • presentations
  • lecture
  • discussion

Participants

Candidates for the course should know HTML and be familiar with programming (preferably in PHP). We recommend registrants take some time to be acquainted with at least the basic concepts of eZ Publish and explore it a bit.

The course is good preparation for eZ Systems' developer certification exam. Participants who complete the course successfully earn a certificate.

Instructor

Greg McAvoy-Jensen is a certified eZ Publish developer who has been using the framework since 2003. He also has years of experience as a professional educator.

Requirements

  • computer with a browser and broadband connection
  • webcam (enabling participants to see one another and instructor to read the group better)
  • headset (audio will be Cisco Webex VOIP)
  • SSH client
  • FTP client
  • favorite editor (VIM is available via SSH)
  • a quiet room
  • freedom to train undisturbed by normal work
  • participation in a brief session to verify all is working well before the training (date TBA)
